The 3 bed house and 3 bed-roomed self contained gite (both sleeping up to 8 and can be rented separately) are set in two acres of private gardens, bordered by a river, and has a swimming pool (can be heated at an extra cost).
The house is situated in western central Brittany between the towns of Carhaix (10mins) and Guincamp (20 mins) near the small town of Callac. The local village is Plusquellec.
The house and gite are well furnished and recently decorated. The gite was completed in 2005. The bedrooms in the house and gite are all doubles and the gite also has a single bedroom too. We can provide an extra single and an extra three quarter bed in the house and a bed settee also available in the gite lounge.
Both lounges have dining table and chairs, TV DVD and video recorder(house only) with a selection of DVD's and videos, but perhaps you might like to take your own as well.
Out and About
There are supermarkets at Callac (Intermarche 5 mins), Carhaix (Le Clerk 20 mins), Carrefour Guincamp (25 mins) and ST Brieuc (40mins)
The walled cities of Concarneau (1 hour) and St Malo ( 1I/2 hrs) are well worth a visit, and Le Mont St Michel - probably the most visited place in France, is also about one hour away.
There are literally hundreds of beaches to the North, West and South of Plusquellec. The North coast is approx 40 mins away whilst the West and South are just over an hour away.
We would recommend visits to Carnac, Benodet and Pont Aven on the south coast, and Morgat is a beautiful town on the West coast. Loquirec and Binic on the North Coast have lovely beaches too.- but you can explore new sites every day.
Approx 5 minutes away near Carnoet is an English owned pub called "Le Fous". Don and Tricia the landlord and landlady will give you a warm welcome where you can enjoy meals and drinks and often entertainment. The web site for the pub is: www.le-fous.com
